VITREOUS ENAMEL ASSOCIATION
CLEANER SCHEME

The Vitreous Enamel Association operates a cleaner scheme whereby cleaning products such as oven cleaners and bath cleaners etc are tested by an independent laboratory on various enamel surfaces soiled with a variety of substances. The enamel surface and the nature of the soil being dependant on the type of cleaner being tested.

The 'VEA Approved' Symbol

The VEA Approved Symbol
Only products that have been successfully tested and proved
to clean efficiently without damaging the enamel surface
are eligible to carry the VEA approved symbol.

If the formulation of a cleaner is altered, maybe by the change of perfume, then it must be re-tested prior to marketing if it is to carry the VEA symbol.

The VEA carries out a programme of spot checking by having VEA approved products, bought at random, tested to ensure that the qualities necessary for VEA approval are maintained.

Manufacturers of enamelled products are being encouraged to include care instructions with their products which recommend the use of VEA approved cleaners, giving members of the cleaner scheme an advantage in the market place.

Manufacturers of cleaning cloths are being encouraged to join the scheme.

PLEASE NOTE
Revive Multi-Purpose Cleaner has been removed
from this list of VEA approved cleaners.

REVIVE MULTI PURPOSE CLEANER IS BEING WRONGLY ADVERTISED AS RECOMMENDED BY AND APPROVED FOR USE ON VITREOUS ENAMEL BY THE VITREOUS ENAMEL ASSOCIATION (VEA).

THE VEA DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT,
IT DOES NOT ENDORSE THIS PRODUCT AND
IT IS NOT APPROVED FOR USE ON VITREOUS ENAMEL.
